- Choose the output format and a time shift in seconds.
- Review the cue count and download the subtitle file.
Input and output example
INPUT
1 00:00:01,000 --> 00:00:03,000 Hello, world!OUTPUT
WEBVTT 00:00:01.000 --> 00:00:03.000 Hello, world!
Supported formats and limits
- Maximum input: 1 MiB of UTF-8 and 10,000 cues. Supports SRT and basic WebVTT.
- VTT STYLE and REGION blocks are rejected. NOTE blocks are omitted. SRT output cannot preserve VTT positioning settings.
- No speech recognition, OCR or audio/video transcription is performed.
How the result is calculated
Uses millisecond timestamps: HH:MM:SS,mmm for SRT and HH:MM:SS.mmm for VTT. A shift adds the same number of seconds to every cue. Negative resulting times are rejected unless clipping before zero is enabled. Overlapping cues remain overlapping.
Frequently asked questions
What if a subtitle file has another encoding?
The file reader requires valid UTF-8. Re-save it as UTF-8 in a text editor before opening it here.
Are styles preserved?
Inline text tags remain in subtitle output, and VTT cue settings remain only in VTT output. Complex presentation cannot be reproduced in SRT. Plain-text extraction removes tags and decodes a small set of common entities.
