What Date Difference helps you do
Project timelines, travel plans and submission windows can differ by a day depending on which dates are included. Choose both boundaries and see exactly what is counted.
How to use it
- Enter the start and end dates.
- Choose whether to include the start date and the end date.
- Calculate and review the day count and boundary settings.
Input and output example
INPUT
2026-11-01 → 2026-11-06; exclude start, include endOUTPUT
5 days
Supported formats and limits
- Years 0100–9999 are supported.
- An earlier end date produces a negative result. The same date counts as 1 only when both boundaries are included.
How the result is calculated
Dates are compared as UTC calendar dates, independently of time zones. A daylight-saving transition still counts as one calendar day. For different dates: sign × max(0, absolute date difference − 1 + start included + end included).
