Identify overlapping or missing entries between two attendance lists, inventories or sets of identifiers.
How to use it
- Enter lists A and B, one item per line.
- Choose the set operation you need.
- Set whitespace and case rules, then review the extracted list.
Input and output example
INPUT
A: Apple, Pear / B: Pear, GrapeOUTPUT
Common: Pear / Different: Apple, Grape
Supported formats and limits
- Maximum input: 1 MiB of UTF-8 text per list.
- Blank lines are ignored and duplicates within a list are combined.
How the result is calculated
Intersection and A-only results preserve A’s first-occurrence order; B-only preserves B’s order. Union and symmetric difference append new B items after the selected A items.
Frequently asked questions
Are repeated quantities compared?
No. These are set operations: they compare whether an item exists, not how many copies it has.
Can spaces be significant?
Disable Trim line edges to include leading and trailing spaces in item comparisons.
