ABOUT THIS TOOL

What Find & replace text helps you do

Update repeated names, symbols and phrases consistently. Search characters are treated literally, so regular-expression punctuation needs no escaping.

How to use it

  1. Enter your text and the string to find.
  2. Enter a replacement and choose case and replacement rules.
  3. Check the replacement count and result.

Input and output example

INPUT
Spring sale, Spring event / Spring → Summer
OUTPUT
Summer sale, Summer event · 2 replacements

Supported formats and limits

  • Maximum source input: 1 MiB of UTF-8 text.
  • The search string cannot be empty. An empty replacement deletes matching text.

How the result is calculated

Search is literal, including line breaks. Case-insensitive matching follows JavaScript case rules. Replacement text such as $1 is inserted literally rather than interpreted as a capture reference.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use a regular expression?

Is the original overwritten?
