What Image resizer helps you do
Set a photo to the pixel dimensions required for a profile, assignment or website. Keep the aspect ratio to avoid distortion, or set width and height independently. The same options can be applied to a batch.
How to use it
- Select one or more images.
- Enter width, height or both. With aspect ratio locked, width takes priority when both are supplied.
- Resize and compare the original and output dimensions.
Input and output example

800 × 600 image
Supported formats and limits
- JPG, PNG and WebP. Up to 20 files per batch, 20MB per file and 80MB total. All file processing stays in your browser.
- Each source and output image is limited to 24 megapixels and 12,000px on either side. The batch is limited to 80 megapixels. GIF, SVG and animated images are not supported.
- Output does not retain EXIF, GPS, camera metadata or the original color profile. Canvas color conversion depends on your browser. Output files are limited to 100MB in total.
How the result is calculated
Calculated pixel dimensions are rounded to the nearest integer. An empty width and height preserve the original dimensions. Under aspect-ratio locking, one dimension determines the other.
Frequently asked questions
Does enlarging a photo improve detail?
No. Browser interpolation adds pixels but cannot recover detail that is absent from the source.
What happens if I leave one dimension empty?
With aspect ratio locked, the missing dimension is calculated from the source ratio. With the lock off, an empty dimension keeps its source value.
